Never give up!

If you  are  an athlete, you  train  and train for the sport that you're  the best at. You put many hours into becoming  the very best. It takes hard work  and  dedication  to accomplish  the goal. There will be ups and downs, struggles, wins and losses. So why should life be any different? In our lives many things are thrown at us. What we choose  to  do  with  them makes all the difference  in  the  world! Have you become defeated  in your  race or are you picking up the pieces? No matter where you are, as long as you keep your eye on the prize you will find a way to win. Sometimes  all it takes is a little encouragement  from a friend  or family  member, maybe a total stranger. We just need that boost to fuel our self-confidence and to continue  to fight the good fight.
So what steps can you take to help you in your life journey? I have found that when you surround yourself with people who have a positive  attitude  and who lift you up  this can make a huge difference  in our daily  attitude. Negative  energy is constantly  working all around us and if we fail to see the effect  it is having  in our lives, we can be drawn  down  with it. It is important  to  hear positive  daily  affirmations, that build us up and help us to see a new side that brings life. We all know people who only look at the bad and never see the blessings that are around them. When I look for all the positive things that are in my life and truly stay in that moment, it is there that I draw my strength as well as from God.
Look for a support system whether it be family or friends. Strength comes with numbers. Sometimes  we need to go outside  of this network  and find professional  services. This is OK and does not mean that you are weak, it means that you recognize  the need for someone  to  help you deal with this piece of your journey. When we are around someone who has gone through a similar  situation they may be able  to  shed some light on how they got through  it. No two people  are alike and we all bring different components  into families, relationships, and even marriages.
Journaling can also be a big release for you. It doesn't  have to be anything fancy, a plain notebook is awesome. Just write down your thoughts  and  feelings, let them go. This has been a big stress reliever for me! It can be a jumbled mess and doesn't  need to make sense to anyone but you. At times random thoughts come to me and I will write down one sentence.
I hope this helps someone else! I know it sure helped me to put my focus back where it needs to be. Have an amazing Saturday  afternoon!

30 Day Challenge

I am proposing a 30 day challenge to all my followers! Young Living Essential Oils have changed my life! I have quit popping pills and am on a healthy track to wellness. I use essential oils daily to manage my pain from a neck and back injury, manage my depression, and for overall general energy.

If you are tired of being at your wits end and figuring out that you want more out of life than to be in pain, I can help you. There is an essential oil for that! Take my 30 day challenge and if you don't see positive results, then never purchase again. I was so skeptical about trying these 10 years ago that I didn't believe they would work. However, after taking the plunge and enrolling as an Independent Member I realized I was wrong. My doctors have all seen the amazing results and have told me not to change anything that I am doing!

Does this mean that I am free from getting sick or not having any medical problems? No, but I am better equipped to handle anything that is thrown at me. Several weeks ago, I found another spot on my right breast after dong my monthly breast exam. I called my doctor who immediately set up a mammogram which barely revealed the spot, so we had an ultrasound done which confirmed it. So where does that leave me now? I am meeting with the breast doctor on Friday morning to discuss the next course of action. Should they decide to just watch it, then I will start a daily regimen of applying Frankincense to my right breast. I am sure that they will do a follow up at 6 months.

I often hear another thing about doing essential oils is that they cost too much! Some people pay over $300 a month for health insurance and hope that they never need it. Others pay for supplemental insurance to cover the cost for heart attacks, cancer, etc. When you add all this up some families are paying out up to $1,000 a month for insurance and hope to never need it. For as little as $40 or up to $160 plus tax, shipping & handling you can become a wholesale member with Young Living Essential Oils. This allows you to save up to 24% off the retail price. Everyone likes a good deal! I spend $45 a year to Sam's Club just to receive a discount price on purchases in their club.

Once you become a member of Young Living all you need to do to stay active is to purchase $50 in product a year. I do that in 1 month. They also have a reward program that when you set up an essential reward order which comes to your home every month, you get a certain percentage of points applied that in the future you can use to purchase products for free. The longer you are on essential rewards the greater your reward. If you are ready to take my challenge you can click on this link to get started,

One other thing that I will also include FREE is the Essential Oils Pocket Reference that is an amazing resource for looking things up and learning about essential oils. I will contact you about this after your order has processed. If you have any questions, feel free to email me or private message me! I am always available to help you on your journey to health and abundance!

Raw emotion on why I think it is important to get mammograms!

4 years ago when I turned 40 my doctor was adamant that I get a mammogram. At the time, they only had the mammo van so that is where I had it done. I had it done in early April and it came back clear. In August I noticed something wasn't right so I returned to my doctor who sent me straight to see the breast surgeon. After another mammogram and an ultrasound, they found a spot on my right breast. Surgery was scheduled and the mass was removed. It was the size of a golf ball. Results came back that it was not cancerous. Thank the Lord! So every 6 months I had to have a repeat until we had the all clear for a year. Only digital imaging could be used since my breast tissue is so dense.

I do not necessarily agree to exposing myself to the radiation you get when having these tests done but do believe that self examination is very important and strongly recommend it. After I recovered from the surgery, I made sure that I spent time with my doctor and asked lots of questions. I had her show me how to do a proper self-exam so I knew exactly what normal should feel like. Our tissue and genetic make up is very important to be aware of. Arming myself with the knowledge she shared with me, I regularly check myself monthly and have a yearly mammogram.

Fast forward to 2014, it has been a busy year for my family. My son graduated from high school and has started college. My daughter is a freshman in high school and very busy girl. I still did my monthly breast exams myself, however did not do my mammogram when I should have. Did I have a suspicion that something wasn't quite right? Yes, but with all the celebrating we were doing I didn't want to damper anything. Probably not a smart thing to do, but next time I won't wait.

At the end of July, I contacted my doctor who set up all the necessary testing. I drove to Cleveland for the mammogram to be done and they also had the ultra sound lab there too. Which was very important for me. Once I arrived and was in the mammogram room, we did the exam. There was a slight something on the x-ray which I expected but again due to the denseness of my breast tissue did not clearly show up. So I had the tech feel the spot and she immediately called ultrasound. Off to ultrasound I went and there it was, another spot on the same breast as before just in a different location. Measurements were taken and I was told that we were going to watch this for 6 months to see what happens. I was ok with that!

The next week, I received a phone call from the hospital that they wanted to see me in the clinic. So next week I will go meet with them and set our course of action. If we choose to wait and watch it for 6 months, then my next course of action will be to apply Frankincense daily to see what happens.

I cannot emphasize doing self-exams monthly and yearly mammograms enough! I usually don't share this much about my personal stuff, but felt this might help someone!

Happy Monday!

Super excited to begin this new week! Have you taken time to stop and smell the roses? Life goes by too quickly and we need to seize every moment. Some people may not believe in God but when you take time to look at all the things around you and how intricately they were created, it is hard not to believe that they are supernatural. The same goes with essential oils. If we take the time to look at the molecular structure and how complex it really is, we can only be thankful.

Essential oils are the lifeblood of the plant. I would welcome you all to listen to the Missing link by D. Gary Young

This answers a lot of questions that we all have. After you watch the video, feel free to ask me any questions that you may have. I have never been more passionate about my health than I am right now!

A Promise

I know it has been a while since I last wrote anything, but life has been busy and many changes have happened. So I apologize for that. About 21 years ago, my world was rocked. I had been experiencing what they thought was carpel tunnel syndrome but after further examination they discovered that I had a bulging disc in my neck. I was 23 years old at the time.
I talked with the Orthopedic Surgeon and a Neurologist who simply explained to me that I was too young to have surgery on it. To let nature take it's course and when it got to the final point they would then operate on it. I had multiple injections in my neck which worked for a little while, physical therapy, a tens unit, plus the many medications they would try to regulate my pain. There were days that I would just lay in bed and cry because it hurt so bad that I couldn't get up. I continued to do my job in the military for the next 3 years. A lot of heavy lifting and strain to my neck.
At the age of 25, I found out that I was pregnant and going to have my first child. I was so excited! All through this time, I continued on my medical program. When I separated from the military at the age of 26, the doctor told me that if I was lucky I would be able to walk at age 38. That didn't sit too well with me! I now had a kid to raise and something to look forward to. As my son was growing up, he would often ask me why I would cry or not be able to play with him. I explained to him early on what was wrong with his mommy. In 2004, I graduated from college after many years of health struggles and had added a daughter to our family. At that time, my son was 8 years old and on my graduation from college day he asked me if I would be able to walk when he graduated from high school.
Here is the promise that I made to him, "Lord willing, I will do everything in my power to make sure that I will be walking when you receive your diploma!" In 2004 I met a man who said he could help me. I was so afraid but had only one goal in mind, keeping my promise. Fast forward to 2014, in 2 days that promise will be fulfilled! After many bottles of essential oils and lots of prayer, my goal will be complete. It hasn't always been easy and to look at me many people don't even know that anything is wrong. Even now as I sit here typing this, I still have a pain that is manageable. My fingers don't always want to work but I am able to get out of bed and walk. Only God could have orchestrated this plan! Count your many blessings, name them one by one!

New chapter

As I start a new chapter in my life, we don't always like the direction it takes us but we must adapt. Reflecting on the past several months and things that have changed our family have been heart wrenching at times but there is still some happiness!
I have not been using my oils on me as much as I have been others! Today, I applied Believe to myself and truly need to start doing this. I know that God will not give me anymore than I can handle but at times it feels overwhelming! Valor has been helping me to cope with my anxiety and Rutavala has allowed me to sleep at night! Oh what a hot mess I would be if I didn't have these essential oils!
Winter was way too long and our Spring hasn't been much of one yet! I am thankful for daylight savings time since it stays light a lot longer! I hope this finds you all in good health!
